Roy Everett Stice, 73, of Colorado City, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 in the Regent Care Center in Kingwood, Texas. He was born in Tahoka, Texas and was preceded in death by three brothers: Billy Dale, Richard and Eddie.
Roy was born in Tahoka on February 22, 1945. After graduating from Tahoka High School in the class of ’63, he attended South Plains College where he obtained a technical degree. Roy was married with four children: daughter Candy and husband Ross, sons Wylie and wife Angie, Cody and wife Kris, and Christopher and wife Shannon. He has 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, with another great grandchild on the way. His wife Mary Stice passed away in 2009.
Roy was self-employed for most of his career, he retired in 2010. In retirement, he stayed busy as the electrical inspector for Colorado City. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, and trips to the casino. He will leave a legacy of love for family, community, and hard work.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, from 5 – 7pm at Kiker-Seale funeral home in Colorado City, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 28, at 10am at Calvary Baptist Church in Colorado City with Pastor Paul Smith officiating. Graveside services will be at 3pm, at the Tahoka Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Glenn Nutt, Chello Molina, Ross McDonald, Ian McDonald, Glenn Peterson, and Mark Daniel
