Grace grew up in Detroit, Michigan and was the only child of William and Margaret Sillars. She was fondly referred to as “Pinkie” by relatives and friends. She graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn, Michigan in 1947.
Grace married Russell B. Snow in 1957. The couple cherished their 55 years of marriage together. They welcomed three sons, Bill, Drew, and Dave Snow into their lives, and in their later years, a grandson, Matthew Ryan Snow. She was a loving wife and mother.
She enjoyed reading and baking in her spare time. Her favorite color was blue. Grace loved lilies, opera, show-tunes, music and movie classics. She also enjoyed singing soprano for weddings and the choir at her church, First Methodist Church in Richardson.
Grace worked as a bookkeeper for Ford Motor Company for several years before taking a break to raise her three sons. She resumed her career once her sons went off to college.
Grace once applied for a job at Mobil Oil as a Bookkeeper in Detroit, Michigan. Russell drove her to apply and filled out an application for himself while he was waiting. He was hired and spent thirty eight years there. It was a fond memory the couple loved to reminisce over and share with others. After Russell retired, he and Grace took up traveling. They enjoyed many trips around the globe.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Snow; father William Sillars; and mother Margaret (Mason) Sillars.
Grace is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Bill (Lorelei) Snow, Drew (Sally) Snow, Dave (Tracy) Snow; and grandson, Matthew Snow.
