Oh Jonathon my friend sure will miss you. I remember meeting you and when you would come over and hangout with me and Shane. I've seen you go through alot and watched God change you for the better. Haven't seen you in awhile and then Melanie called me I was so sad however I believe  you gave your life to Jesus and I'm at peace with that.  Farewell my friend rest in peace- Caleb 

Oh, Jonathan. I didn't get a chance to know him on a deep level... but I got to know him through listening to Stephenie talk about him.  She held him in such high regard. He was good to her, good to her babies. Funny, charming, and loving. Steph... my heart is with you sweets. May God give you strength and peace during this. I love you. 

     Unfortunately, I was only able to know Jonathan for a short year but fortunately, I had the pleasure of getting to know the amazing person that he was. Jonathan made me cry (in the best way) and he made me laugh (to say a lot would be an understatement). He gave me advice even when I just wanted him to be mad with me but I appreciate him for the advice he gave. Jonathan made me feel like he cared which is more than I can say about most people in my life. Out of everything he unknowingly did for me, the best thing he could’ve done for me was take care of Stephenie, she means the world to me and after all of her struggles, I was very happy to know that she was well taken care of in his hands. I praise God for bringing him into Stephenie’s life. He once said to me, “I know I’m not a perfect husband but I try my best” and I already knew that, I saw him do his best and he wasn’t perfect, no one is but he tried his best to be and he came as close to perfect as anyone can and for that I will forever be grateful to Jonathan Burkett. 

The best thing I love about Jonathan is how good he was to me and my mother. When he worked for me,
he would read everything. Then he would give me lots of great information.  When he moved on, from working for me, he did a very gracious and honorable thing, he gave me a great big hug and said " I will see ya around".  I did not get to see Jonathan very often and so, I missed him very much. I will always miss him, if even it is  knowing that some day " I will see ya around".  No matter what our true character is, if there really is an Honorable GOD, then we will ALL go to heaven.   

My deepest condolences to the family. May God's future promises at John 5:28,29 of an earthly resurrection and Revelation 21:3,4 of no more suffering or death bring you comfort. Until that time comes, God assures us at Psalm 34:18 that he "is close to the brokenhearted" and "saves those who are crushed in spirit." So he understands your pain and grief and is eager to help you by giving you the strength you need to cope during this most difficult time. (Philippians 4:13)

I know you as Bucket. A little boy that always had a sheepish little grin.  I understand you left Bucket behind and became the young man Jonathan but you will for ever be Bucket to me kiddo.
