Billie retired from Southern Company Services after several years of service. She enjoyed sewing and she could sew anything, she sewed alongside her sisters as they worked on many projects. She and her siblings enjoyed going on trips together and they spent as much time together as possible. She also cherished all the time she was able to spend with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Birdo and Floy Miller; her husband, Bobby James Ashworth, two brothers, Arthur Miller and Jerry Miller; and two sisters, Hazel Weaver and Judy Bittle.
Billie is survived by her son, Randy Ashworth and his wife Reba; a daughter, Pamela Noble and her husband Mike; a brother, Gerald Miller; two sisters, Mavis Gunter and Dorothy Rogers; two sister-in-law’s, Ruth Miller and Jean Miller; two grandchildren, Rusty Ashworth and his wife Candace, and Brett Ashworth and his wife Lauren; three great grandchildren; Hudson Ashworth, Baker Ashworth, and Ryder Ashworth, and a host of friends and family.
The family extends special thanks to her caregiver, Bessie Simon and the staff of St. Martin’s in the Pines, Compassus Hospice, and Home Instead Senior Care for their loving care and support during this difficult time.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, February 2, 2019, with a time of visitation to begin at 1:00pm; funeral service at 3:00pm, followed by her entombment in the Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum, Gardendale, AL.
