Of Jackson, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the age of 54. He is survived by his parents, Thomas “Mike” (Karen) Delamater and Vivian (Bruce) Antonangeli; sister, Wendy Bamm; grandmother, Bonnie Davis; nephew, Timmy Thornton; niece, Danielle Bamm; as well as many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gordon C. Davis and Bud and Peggy Delamater. Jimmy was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on May 27, 1964. He attended St. Mary’s, St. John’s and J.P.S. He loved his family and friends were just as important as family to him. He was a proud uncle and enjoyed being extensively involved with the children in his life. Jimmy spent his working career as a cook and found much joy in it. He enjoyed playing in bands and music was a big part of his life. Jimmy was kind, generous, and always willing to help others. He touched the hearts and lives of many and will be greatly missed. A service to honor his life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Cascades Humane Society.
