Mrs. Milagros “Mila” Joco Poblete, daughter of the late Simon Joco and Emiliana Tibayan was born on July 4, 1935 in Naic, Cavite, Philippiness. She was a graduate of B.S. in Education at the Arellano University. She worked as a public school teacher for more than twenty years before joining her husband in the United States in 1988. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ, served faithfully in the church and supported mission work both here and the Philippines.
She was united in holy matrimony to Benjamin “Ben” Nazareno Poblete on August 4, 1955. This union was blessed with five children. Ben preceded her in death on April 3, 2005.
“Nanay” as she was fondly called, was loved by many. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers in her garden that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She quietly departed this life Wednesday January 30, 2019 at the Mercy Hospital in Folsom, California.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Roberto “Benjie” Poblete, Melanie “Lanie” Poblete, Rosmina “Rose” Bugarin, Marites “Techit” Escobar and Edwin “Jojo” Poblete, and her extended family composed of her children Grace, Jon and Noel, her brother Socrates, brothers and children in law, grandchildren, nieces/nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Our hearts have been made to rejoice even in the midst of the illness and passing of our beloved Nanay by the Lord and the many acts of kindness extended to our family. Your prayers and all expressions of love, concern and sympathy are greatly appreciated. May God’s blessings of peace and love continue with you forever.
