Gerald coached minor hockey for over 20 years, was a member of the Armdale Yacht Club and the Nova Scotia Schooner Association, was a mechanic and he owned his own business Grafton Motors, he was the commodore at Armdale Yacht Club, sailed and raced 2 schooners named the Tide and the Wawaloon. He loved his music. He played the accordion and guitar and played them well.
He was loved and will be missed by his family. Survived by daughter, Sharon Darlene (John) Durant; son, George Nathan (Bev); sister, Margaret Cutler, St Catherine’s, ON; grandchildren, Stacey, Thomas, Matthew and Adam, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Florence.
Visitation to be held Monday, February 11, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home. Funeral service Tuesday, February 12, at 11:00 am at St Margaret of Scotland, 3761 Robie Street, Halifax.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Cross.
