James Vincent DiDomenico, 88, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on February 8, 2019. He was born on July 3, 1930 in Maspeth, New York, to the late Josephine Vieni and Joseph DiDomenico. He later moved to Brooklyn, and East Patchogue; and then to South Florida, living in Margate and Tamarac before eventually settling in Bradenton.
James attended PS 190 Elementary School in Brooklyn, New York, before joining the US Army "illegally" at age 13. He had his barber's license and his own barbershop in Mastic, Long Island, New York, and in Tamarac, Florida.
He loved to do jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, investing and boating. He married Pauline Cassino on October 26, 1949 and together they had six children, thirteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
James is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline; his brothers, Carl DiDomenico and Charles Spinnato; and daughters Helena Luhmer and Josephine Stout.
He is survived by his brother Anthony DiDomenico; his children, Toni (Henry) DiDomenico-Baez, Jaime (Julie) DiDomenico, Jory (Yolanda) DiDomenico, and Cindy Fiscina; his grandchildren, Jason Luhmer, Erik Luhmer, Lisa Luhmer, Jarrett Stout, Kerri Hofmann, Nicole Rivera, Anthony DiDomenico, Andrew DiDomenico, Daniel DiDomenico, Jenna DiDomenico, Christopher DiDomenico, Brianna DiDomenico, Nicholas Fiscina; and his great-grandchildren, Riley Luhmer, Jakob Luhmer, Noelle Luhmer, Thomas Stout, Abigail Stout, Makayla Hofmann, Zachary Hofmann, Matthew Hofmann, Alayna Hernandez, Gianna Rivera, Demetrio Febus, Gabriella DiDomenico, Ellianna DiDomenico, and Vivianna DiDomenico.
