He was born in Odessa, Texas on April 19, 1954 to E.L. and Yolande Searcy Dunn.
Earis Lee went to primary school in Odessa and then moved to Big Spring for middle school. He moved to Austin in January 1971, attended High School there but then returned to Big Spring to complete his high school education. Shortly after graduation Earis Lee enlisted with the US Navy. He served for almost 3 years at the Naval Forces in California. Upon discharge, Earis Lee returned to Texas where he held various positions in an around the Big Spring area.
In his youth, Earis Lee was a sweet and sensitive young man. As an adult, he was shy and thoughtful, though he had a wry sense of humor which he shared with those he knew well. Earis Lee was loyal and selfless to those he was close to which was reflected in the long-term care of his ailing mother. He loved animals and was devoted to his many dogs.
He is survived by a niece Nicole Palmour of Montreal Quebec Canada.
A memorial ceremony will be performed for Earis by the Court House Flag in Colorado City on Wednesday, February 20th at 9 am
