Scott Anthony Miller was born in Phoenix, AZ to parents Joseph Bedford and Adina L. Miller. He graduated from Central High School and attended Arizona State University. After serving as a US Army Officer in Washington DC, he moved to California, was married and worked in real estate / mortgage lending for over twenty years. Scott enjoyed playing golf and being a referee at high school and college football games.
On June 18, 2000, Scott and Karen Hughes were married at Emerald Bay - Lake Tahoe, CA and he relocated to The Woodlands, TX.
Scott worked at WAMU in sub-prime lending. In 2007 he fulfilled a life dream and authored a book "First Lady of the United States - The Pursuit of Power." Known as the Card Guy Coach, he coached real estate agents nationwide on relationship building using greeting cards. Scott was an avid scratch golfer and was recruited to play at many local tournaments.
Scott's happy spirit will be honored March 30, 2019 at a Celebration of Life ceremony at the Woodlands Bible Church. In lieu of flowers and in honor of his beloved K9 kids: Poppie, ChaCha, Zippie and Godiva, please make donations in Scott's name to Operation Pets Alive.
Scott is survived by his wife, Karen Miller; his children Nicholas Joseph Miller (daughter-in-law Jennifer Miller and grandsons MacArthur and Maddux) and Suzanne Elizabeth Smith (son-in-law Jameson Smith); step-children Elliott Hughes and Natalie Biggs; his Arizona family, beloved sisters Sandra Brandau and Susie Martin (brother-in-law W. Steven Martin), and niece and nephews Becca, Steven, and Chris Martin); and brother Steve Miller (nephew Jay Miller).
