Keith passed away peacefully in the arms of his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Chandler, Oklahoma to Elmo and Laveta Christy.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Elmo and Laveta, and his sister, Diana Kay.
Keith is survived by his wife, Denise; his children, Michael and Jenine Christy, Bill and Liz Jackson, Jaimie and Ali, and Lindsey and Jason; his grandchildren, Zack, Amber and Justin, Cassie, Sean, Michael, Hayden, Owen and Rory; Great-Granddaughter, Annie; Sisters, Dee, Holly, Denise and Tom; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Keith grew up in Cushing, Oklahoma and attended Sunnyside School and Freewill Baptist Church. He, with his family, moved to Bakersfield, California when Keith was in fourth grade. He attended Castro Lane School, Curran Jr. High, and West High School. He went to the Freewill Baptist Church in both Greenfield and East Bakersfield. In high school, he attended Revival Tabernacle Church in Lamont. As an adult, he attended Higher Ground.
In Keith’s youth, he worked in the food industry services, joined the United States Coast Guard after high school, and then as he got older, he joined the Local Pipefitters Union.
Keith loved his wife, Denise. Keith’s children were his life. He had a huge heart and knew no stranger. He was friends with his children’s mothers. He loved his Lord Jesus and looked forward to seeing him face-to-face.
The family would like the thank Hoffman Hospice House, UCLA Medical Center, and all the doctors and nurses that cared for him.
