Stanley Earl "Stan" Disorda, 74, of Chattanooga, passed Friday, March 8, 2019. Born in Burlington, Vermont, he has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 30 years and was the son of Mildred and Perley Disorda of Brandon Vermont.
He was a 25 year retired veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam, Desert Storm, Bosnia and Iraq. After retirement he worked for military contractors in Iraq and Kuwait from 2003 -2010.
He was a member of the East Lake Masonic Lodge #698 F&AM; American Legion Post 95; VFW Post 4848 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aries #945
He is survived by his son Matthew Disorda; daughter Jackie Disorda; step-sons David and Peter Jensen, all of Vermont; loving companion, Betty “Buffie” Buffington, Chattanooga, TN.
The family, being from Vermont, request in lieu of flowers, WalMart cards for the care of his daughter, Jackie.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Valley View Chapel with
Dr. Hisel Gobble officiating.
Full Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army 101st Airborne of Fort Campbell, Kentucky
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. p.m. Saturday before the service at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
