It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Kemper-McBride on March 28th, 2019, at the age of 68. Carol was the third child born to LaVerne (Bo) and Maxine Kemper. Carol was a resilient and tough as nails woman who lived in a nursing home for three decades. Carol had a unique and strong personality in which she could make you smile, laugh, and cry at almost the same time. She was warm and loving and compassionate towards others, and had a special place in her heart for animals and flowers. She loved watching sunsets and refused to be wheeled indoors until the last rays of sun had dropped below the horizon.
After each stroke we watched her mind and body wither; yet she managed to continue on making jokes about her situation and telling us that everything would be okay. Carol fought to the bitter end. She is now beyond the Pearly Gates of Heaven starting a "new life" with family members who passed previously. She is dancing with her father, Bo, her nephew Shawn Kemper, and cousin Bobby Wall. We are sure Carol is hugging her lovely daughter, Lori Anne McBride-Mullens, and the two of them are probably up to some kind of high-jinks.
For those of us that Carol left behind, her mother, Maxine Kemper, sons David and Jason McBride and the grand children; as well as her siblings Al, Danny, Larry, and Linda we will forever miss and love her. She has now passed below the sunset into a life of light and joy. May God keep and care for our beloved Carol!
