Ernest descended from original settlers of Florida in St. Augustine and pioneer settlers of Hillsborough County. Ernest was an avid outdoorsman & hunter and treasured his time in nature. Ernest was a former member of Ye Mystic Krew of Gasparilla, past president of Merrymakers Club, and a Valuation Analyst for the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser for 30 years.
Ernest is preceded in death by his father, Ernest P. Burnett.
He is survived by his wife, Bethany Burnett; children, Ernest P. “Sonny” Burnett III, Elise and Jackson Beebe, mother, Nancy Bishop Burnett, a large extended family and many dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 2 pm at Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33609. Followed by A Celebration of Life at The Merrymaker’s Club of Tampa, 124 Danube Ave., Tampa, Fl. 33606.
