On July 27, Joan left this Earth to join her first husband Bill (January 3,1967), second husband Dick (December 31, 1996), third child Wendy Lambert (March 6, 2005), and fourth child Stephen Jackson (June 5, 2018).
Forever loved by her children Heather (Bruce) Graham, Doreen Talaskavich, Karen (Jeff) McKee and Donna Lindsay (Bill Book), daughter-in-law Sabine Brasok, son-in-law Peter Woerrlein and beloved partner Frank Barnsley.
Also loved by her step-children Mark, Alice, Erna, Wilma, Grace and Jenny. The World’s Greatest Grandmother to numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren, countless great and great-great grandchildren. Sister to Barbara, Edna, Ethel (deceased), Hazel and her brother Bob who will miss her dearly.
She constantly said she was the luckiest woman in the world because she had the most amazing family, not realizing the reason was because she was amazing.
A long time employee of Moyer and Diebel, she spent her retirement as a very active volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Out of the Cold. She was a devoted member of Knox Presbyterian Church.
Thank You to Garden City Manor and Hospice Niagara for the care you gave her and an eternal thank you to Donna for your unwavering love and support.
The family will receive friends at the Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church St., St. Catharines (905-684-6346) on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 10 am. A Celebration of Joan’s life will follow at 12 noon in the chapel. Private Family interment at a later date. If so desired, donations made in Joan’s memory to the Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by her family. Online tributes may be made at www.hulseandenglish.com
