Nadine Marie Thompson, (92), passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in Seattle, Washington. She was the loving wife of Claude Marion Thompson, who predeceased her. They shared 69 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Bellingham, Washington on March 5, 1927, Nadine was the daughter of David and Anna Larson. Her beloved sisters, Eileen and Laverne, preceded her in death.
Nadine often shared different experiences from throughout her life. She reminisced about USO events during World War II where she and her sisters would spend time with young soldiers and sailors, helping them feel more connected to their families and homes. She worked for the phone company in her early years, fondly remembering her time in the accounting department. Nadine was an avid reader, rarely without a book close by.
Nadine lived a life of deep faith, rejoicing in her Christian beliefs. She prayed for all those who were in need and never failed to remind people that the angels were watching over them.
Nadine is survived by her son, Ken Thompson and his wife Jan, and her son, Ron Thompson and his wife Cathy. She has four grandchildren: Kristin (Thompson) Alfonzo (Marques), Kyle Thompson, Matt Thompson (Melissa) and Stephen Thompson. Nadine left behind three beautiful great granddaughters who were the pride of her life, Jordan Alfonzo, Alexis Thompson and Makayla Thompson, in addition to nieces and nephews who she loved very much.
Nadine was a loving and attentive mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was always available to her family. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
