Eduardo Garcia Morales, a lifetime resident of Falfurrias, Texas, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at a nursing home in Falfurrias at the age of 83. He was born on June 6, 1936 to Ignacio Morales and Genoveva Garcia Morales in Falfurrias, Texas. Eduardo worked as a Groundskeeper for the First United Methodist Church of Falfurrias for over 39 years until his retirement in June of 2001. He then took on the responsibility to care for his mother for her final living years.
He was known to his family members as “Tio Walo” and that soon traveled to the rest of the community and he was soon “Tio Walo” to many. Eduardo was a very sweet and genuinely good man who was always willing to help whomever was in need. He also enjoyed walking and preferred to walk to the places he needed to go to in town.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Emma Benavides, Elva Garcia, Elsa Lopez and Joel Morales and all of his half siblings as well as many beloved extended family members.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias. Funeral Service will held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
