Born October 15, 1932, in , Corregidor Island, Bataan,Philippines, she was the only daughter of the late Federico Sunga Viray and Florentina Lacap Viray.
In 1975, she permanently immigrated to the United States and worked as a factory worker for ten years. Soon after she was able to stay at home to care and raise her immensely growing family. Ester was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Ester was a passionate cook who took pride in preparing all her delicious signature Filipino dishes and passed her secret recipes onto the generations to follow. Ester enjoyed her leisure watching her TFC teleseryes, playing keno, attending church, watching her favorite sports teams and most especially spending quality time with her family. Most importantly, in remembrance will be her eternal love for her family. She is greatly and deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Roberto Yabut; her children, Eufrosina Ganzon, Enrique Yabut, Teresa Catelo, Rowena Santos, Salome Yabut, Eliza Escobar; her grandchildren, Ruby Jugo, Ronald Ganzon, Ryan Catelo, J-Jay Catelo, Richard Ganzon, Sean Yabut, RJay Santos, Samantha Catelo, Ariel Yabut, Alex Moreno, Kyle Yabut, AJ Moreno, Kayla Yabut, Anthony Moreno, Alexy Gonzalez, Timothy Santos, Junior Escobar, Marvin Yabut, Maceo Escobar, Kloe Yabut, Isabella Escobar; her great grandchildren, Jru Jugo, Rayana Jugo, Jalen Catelo, Samiah Catelo, Mia Catelo, Jayda Jugo, Reyella Santos, Kyrie Santos, Maggie Ganzon; her siblings, Bernabe Viray, Benigno Viray.
She was preceded in death by her son, Leo Yabut; her granddaughter, Rachel Santos; her father, Federico Sunga Viray; her mother, Florentina Lacap Viray; her siblings Gregorio Viray, Arcadia Viray, Ceasario Anderson, Rogelio Viray.
