Jean Zelinda Bronzini was born in Bucoda, WA on October 7, 1925. She graduated from Centralia High School. She met her soulmate Tony Vita when she was at a Fort Lewis dance, married him and moved to his hometown of Chicago where they enjoyed everything they did together – raising children, yard work and home repairs until his sudden passing.
After this she found herself back on the west coast creating a new life in Seattle. A struggle at first, but determination, perseverance and tenacity saw through the growth and adulthood of three stubborn, tenacious children.
During this time, she met and married Frank Stuth, who thought he was teaching her outdoor survival, hunting and fishing, but the scrappy Bucoda girl already had experience in the survival arena and had keen shooting skills. They retired and moved to Anacortes, where he subsequently passed.
A couple of years later she decided to move back home to the Bucoda area – and settled in Centralia to be close to her sister Hazel and brother Gary. It was a lovely reunion and they all became best friends all over again. Gary left them first and Jean and Hazel became neighbors at Colonial and what a pair they were. Hazel brought out the best in Jean, urging her to try new things.
As the sole survivor of that generation Jean moved back to Seattle a couple years ago, where the majority of her family resides. She enjoyed visits from family and loved playing solitaire, doing crosswords (always in pen) and watching her favorite on tv Steve Harvey. She made friends at Maple Leaf with the caregivers and residents. She never wanted to miss dinner (or her chocolate ice cream and lemonade) where she sat with the same group of friends who miss her dearly.
Jean is survived by children: Meri Jean Vita, Pat Vita Watkins, Steve Vita (Kendra), Grandchildren: Tony Kizziar, Beka Anardi (Jared), Josh Vita, Beau Watkins, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
