Patricia Mae Bennett

Services for Patricia Mae Bennett, 71, of Lufkin, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs.

Patricia was born May 3, 1948 in Diboll, Texas, the daughter of the late Florence Elizabeth (Haynes) and Hollis Stevenson Wright. She passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in a Lufkin nursing facility.

Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had worked as a medication aid. She loved Nascar, Dallas Cowboys and Pepsi.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Bennett; grandchildren, Rishel Kessinger, Kytryna Kessinger, Ernesto Maldonado Jr., Jesse Maldonado, Raymond Maldonado, and Bennie Maldonado; great-grandchildren, Aidianne Kessinger, Kynleigh Maldonado, Kaden O’Brien, Quinten O’Brien and Ezra Maldonado; brothers, Steve Wright, Billy Wright, John Paul Wright and Carl Wright; and sisters, Ginger Mayberry and Robin Wright.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Carl Bennett; son, Carl Richmond Bennett, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Ann Bennett; brothers, Floyd Wright, Tommy Wright, Frank “Mody” Wright, and Burton “Mike” Wright; and sister, Sue Burton.

The family will receive friends from noon until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
