Nadine Seng Baker, 78, a long time resident of Jacksonville, FL went to be with our Father, Lord and Savior on the evening of September 6, 2019. She was born in Jacksonville to Joseph and Thelma Staier on August 26, 1941. She was a graduate of Terry Parker High School in 1959.
She was married to B.V. Baker Jr. ("Bake") for 28 years. Nadine had careers in the transportation, retail, and grocery industries and retired from Sears, Roebuck & Company after 16 years and Winn Dixie after 7 years, respectively. She was a devout member of Holy Spirit Catholic and Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and had a passion for children and animals of all kinds, especially dogs (Lucy, Buddy, Tippy, Abner, and Schnappy) and horses. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved by many; she touched, brightened, and positively influenced so many friends and family. She loved life, but most of all loved her family. She was an outstanding and talented cook, showering her friends, family, and neighbors with her treats, goodies, and her infamous classic cheese ball, especially during Christmas.
She will be deeply and sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband ("Bake"), her children Sean and Dawn, her sister Vickie, her daughter-in-law Leslie Seng, and three grandchildren Cayden, Garrett, and Hayley and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blessed Trinity Catholic Church or the Jacksonville Humane Society.
Her funeral was held on September 11, 2019 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills funeral home served the family.
