Buddy was born Tommy James McCullough, April 28, 1958 in Conroe Texas. He was the son of James Terry and Ora Lee McCullough. He is survived by his brother Terry Miles McCullough, Sisters in Law Bambi Monnich McCullough, and Diana Monnich, niece Brittany McCullough Womack, nephews Benjamin McCullough Robert Cooksey, David Monnich Jr., Shawn Monnich, Louis Monnich and Larry Garza, cousins, Jan Archer and Bob McCullough. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Virginia Wilson and nephew Kenneth Avon Cooksey.
Buddy graduated from Conroe High School in 1976 and attended Sam Houston State University. He worked for most of his adult life in the energy sector, employed by Wyatt Industries as a Boilermaker and later in the Safety Department and Equipment Coordination and Logistics. He retired in 2016.
He was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed football and baseball. He enthusiastically supported the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros, teams that he proudly maintained had actually played in the Super Bowl and World Series.
Buddy maintained a very close walk with the Lord. He was steadfast in his faith and salvation provided by Jesus Christ. He worshiped with friends and neighbors at Willowbrook Terrace Chapel, led by Rev. Steve Cranston.
Buddy was well known for his kindness, good nature and generous spirit. He was outgoing made friends easily. He will be sorely missed by his family and his many friends.
We will be celebrating Buddies Life Saturday September 14, 2019, at 10:00 AM in Cashner’s Funeral Home Colonial Chapel. Rev. Bob Lynch will officiate. Dress is casual. Sports attire is welcome representing your favorite team or sport. In lieu of flowers the family asks with gratitude donations be made to Willowbrook Terrace Chapel.
