She was born in DeQuincy on August 27, 1945. Judy enjoyed painting, crocheting, and doing ceramics. Most of all, she loved spending time at home with her family. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Angela Deal and husband Mike, Jeff Musgrove and wife Rhonda, Jeniffer Overton and husband Karl, Neali Leopaul and husband Kendall; sister, Charlene Stanley; brother, Blake Lyons; grandchildren, Austin Clark, Cody Deal, Jerrad Deal, Kara Vincent, Kade Overton, Kole Musgrove, MJ Bellard, Mikayla Bellard, Mila Bellard; along with ten great grandchildren.
Judy is preceded in death by her father, O.J. Rainwater and mother, Mary Ruth Lyons and husband William "Bill" Lyons; and her brother, James Rainwater.
A Celebration of Judy's life will be held at The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 10:00am, with Blake Lyons and Pastor Wayne Neyland officiating. Visitation will be at The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy on Monday, September 23, 2019 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume at the church on Tuesday, from 9:00am until the time of the Celebration. Burial will follow at Perkins Cemetery. The family would like to thank Kim Dyson and Betty Hext for their extraordinary care and for the love they showed their mother.
