Thomas Joseph Ciesicki, age 79, of White Lake, formerly of Saline and Ann Arbor, died Sunday, December 29, 2019, at Detroit Receiving Hospital. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Norma; his two daughters: Lenore (John) Sykes, and Valerie (Andrew) Hoogerhyde; his four grandchildren: Cody and Connor Sykes, and Elizabeth and Victoria Hoogerhyde; his brother, Raymond (Mary Ann) Ciesicki; and his two nephews: Steve and Brian Ciesicki.
Thomas was born July 14, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Casimer and Sophie (Pasint) Ciesicki. He and Norma Dombrowski were married on August 31, 1963, in Cleveland, and have shared fifty-six wonderful years together. From 1962 until 1965, Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves. Upon his discharge, he began working as a computer analyst for AT&T. Thomas was an active parishioner at St. Patrick Catholic Church and was also very involved in the Knights of Columbus.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Casimer and Sophie.
The family will be present at the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home White Lake Chapel, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386, on Thursday, January 2, 2020, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, and again from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A brief ceremony will be performed by the Knights of Columbus at 7:00 pm. On Friday, Thomas will be taken to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386 to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of mass at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 4401 Nelsey Road, Waterford Township, Michigan 48329.
