Charlotte Emma (McCullough) Caplinger, age 77, wife of William "Bud" Caplinger, Jr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2020. Born at home in New Brighton to the late Charles E. and Harriet J. (Cory) McCullough. Graduating from Beaver Falls High Class of 1962, she worked as a photo retoucher several years for Bell Photo Lab in Beaver Falls. There, she met the love of her life, Bud, whom she married on August 9, 1969. She is also survived by brother Charles E. McCullough, Jr., Jane and Wilma McCullough and their dog Blackie, all of Beaver Falls. Niece Patty (Dave) Crouse and their daughters Emily, Amelia and Cammie, all of Warren, PA, Abby (Christian) Conrad of Gaylord, MI and Becca (Seth) Billstone of Slippery Rock. Cherished, dear childhood friend who was like a sister Virginia (Tom) Parker. Cherished god-daughter Becky Thull (Lloyd) Moffet. Dear friends Kathy and Bill Murphy. She is also survived by so many other friends and relatives who she loved so much. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by cherished in-laws William G. and Evalyn (Glass) Caplinger, Sr; dear friends Bill and Barb Murphy; many dear aunts, uncles cousins and friends; plus furry friends Brownie, Rover, Buttons, Bows and Inky. Charlotte loved to plant and grow vegetables and flowers, can and make vegetable soup and give it to friends and family. She even loved weeding! She loved to help others by making them happy. She also loved quilting, crocheting, and crafts, especially drawing and painting. Above all, she loved spending time with her husband, going on outings to Mountaineer. Friends invited Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, 273 Rt. 68, Rochester, PA 15074, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM.
