Dorothy “Dot” (Stanley) Brennan, age 95 of Beverly and previously of Lynn, passed away after a very brief illness with her daughter by her side, on Sunday January 12, 2020. She was born in Lynn on November 1, 1924 to her beloved parents the late Edmund M. Stanley Sr. and Ruth L. (Wilson) Stanley.
Dot was the loving mother of Judith Brennan of Manchester-by-the-sea and the late Gary Brennan and the cherished sister to the late Edmund Stanley and Betty Stanley. She also leaves her many friends.
Dot was a fun loving person who enjoyed being able to travel all around the country with her beloved husband and family. Whether that meant a trip to see the national parks, going on a cruise, or going up to camp in Wakefield, NH on Province Lake with the family for over 50 years. She was an avid Boston sports fan who most of all favored her New England Patriots. Later in life, after she moved to the Colonial gardens she would enjoy playing bingo and other activities with her friends. Most of all in life she adored being able to spend time with her family and friends.
Dot’s visiting hours will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA from 9:30 AM -11:00 AM on January 15, 2020, followed by service in the funeral home. Burial is at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
