Throughout his life, Ravi was dedicated to building a strong culinary background through his studies and experience. He began his young life with education at St. Peter's College, Colombo.
Later on, Ravi's career path was realized as he joined the Ceylon Hotel School which then allowed him to join with Galadari Hotel. Ravi desired bigger plans for himself and his future family. Correspondingly, In 1998, Ravi started work abroad in Dubai where he had joined Rotana, chain hotels. One of his greatest strengths in life was his marriage. In the year 2001, Ravi married Bavani Jayaweera. The couple were driven to create a family life as strong as their bond to each other. Together they had one son, Shanodh Jayaweera. Shanodh is aspired by his father to become a man just as strong willed and determined as him by Ravi's guidance.
In 2007, Ravi and his family immigrated to Canada as the next step to a successful life. Here, Ravi began work finally at Milrise Place Senior Living.
Ravi was someone who was both caring to his family and loyal to his friends. On his free time, Ravi enjoyed singing songs, listening to music and engaging with his friends. Ravi was well involved throughout various community events, as well. His strength and positivity inspired others around him to live meaningful lives as well. Such a kind and thoughtful character will be a tremendous loss to the community.
Ravi Chaminda Jayaweera will be heavily missed by all his family and friends, however; his memory will always last in their hearts.
