Norma Jean “Jimmie” Stover, 82, of Beckley, passed away February 6, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James and Luella Moles Stover. Preceding her in death were her sisters, Nancy Stover, Lorene Reed, Evelyn West and Delsie Margison; and her brother, James Stover.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Nadine Stover; her brothers, Jerry, Tommy and David Stover; her special niece, Lisa Price (Shane); her special nephew, Jay Compton (Tyna) who Norma helped raise; three special grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary and Hannah Compton; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Norma worked for 35 years for the Tieche family where she served in many capacities. She will be deeply missed by her close friend, Nancy Tieche. Norma enjoyed many hobbies including reading, sewing and traveling. She was a talented cook and an avid gardener. She had very high morals, was kind and compassionate and was very hard working.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm, Monday, February 10, 2020 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Barnett officiating.
A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 11th in the Garden of The Last Supper in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
