Quang Lu (Nguyen Minh – Buddhist Name) was born in Quang Tri, Vietnam to Hoai Lu (Father) and Thi Thi Nguyen (Mother). Quang Lu was married to his wife, Hanh Thi Nguyen, for nearly 70 years. Together they had a total of 14 children, 26 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
After graduating from Dalat Military School Class-7, he met and married Hanh Thi Nguyen, where he was on assignment in Quang Tri. In 1959, he was chosen to represent his troupe for training in Japan, then was sent to Fort Benning in Georgia in 1960 for further advanced military tactic training.
As a young man, Mr. Lu always had an entrepreneurial mindset, and was honorably discharged from the military in his early 30's to pursue a few business ventures. Throughout the years, Quang and his wife built several companies which included a processing goods business, and then a seafood export business.
Mr. Quang Lu invested heavily in his family, always ensuring that his children received the best education. He took pride in being the patriarch of the family, and his most proud achievement in life was his wife and children.
Mr. Lu passed peacefully at his home in Huntington Beach, California surrounded by his loving family.
