William Hardt, 81 years old of Secaucus passed away on Wednesday February 12. William was born to the late Louis Hardt and Mary King, lived most of his life in Jersey City and the last 20+ years here in Secaucus. He was a painter and custodian for 30 years at St. Aedans School in Jersey City before retiring many years ago.
William is survived by his loving children Eileen Lennon and her husband James, William "Bill" Hardt Jr., and Barbara Kelly and her husband Edward; Sister, Betty Mason and her husband Jack; grandchildren, Krista and her husband Matthew, Elise and her husband Thomas, Meagan, Andie, Lauren, Nikki, Billy, and Katie; 2 great grandchildren James and Brooke; a brother-in-law William Urban and many loving nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his 1st wife Eileen Hardt and his partner of 22 years Julia Hamm; his cherished granddaughter Erin; and siblings Robert Hardt, Marylou Toscano, and Pinky Urban.
A visitation for William will be held Monday, February 17th from 4 to 8PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Tuesday, February 18th at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus followed by the entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Ridge Road, North Arlington
