Donnal Wayne Askew Sr.

Donnal Wayne Askew, Sr, 56, of DeQuincy, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at his residence. He was born on October 12, 1963 in Vidor, TX. He was a mechanic by trade, enjoyed fishing, traveling, and hunting. He was a great cook, especially known for his BBQ. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved very much.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Martha Joyce Askew; one son, Donnal Wayne Askew, Jr, three daughters, Kimberly Renee Askew of DeQuincy, Katie Anna Askew of Longville, Krystal Leann Askew of DeQuincy; father, Larrie Don Askew of Starks; one brother, Chris Allen Askew of Starks; one sister, Lisa Joy Askew of Starks; along with three grandchildren, Allison Grace Erwin, Marley Renee Paredes, and one on the way, Emma Rose Paredes; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Donnal is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Joy Ellison Askew; and two sisters, Alice Ann Askew, and Crystal Alleen Askew.

A private Celebration of Donnal's life will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy, with Rev. Al Woodard officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Annex Cemetery in Starks. Services entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home.
