Born in Beaver Falls, Pa. on April 12, 1937, he was the son of the late Eugene E. Leslie and Bertha (Frederick) Leslie.
On June 21, 1958 he married Mary Lou (Soltesz) Leslie and together raised two beautiful daughters, Donna (Forrest) Stolz, Beaver, Pa. and Denise (Larry) Finch, Frewsburg, N.Y. Fred was passionate in his love for his wife and family.
Fred worked at the former Westinghouse Electric Co. after 34 years of service in the maintenance Dept. as a welder. He was a member of Park Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Fred was a 32nd Degree Mason as a member of the AASR Valley of New Castle, also Syria Shriners, and St. James Lodge #457. He was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association. He was a former member of the Rochester Elks #283 where he was honored as "Elk of the Year" on February 1976 by the Grand Lodge Order of Elks.
Fred loved hunting, trapping, Fishing Woodworking and Leather working and gardening. His main passions was traveling with his wife, biking and trail walking. He enjoyed taking bike rides and weekend camping in the backyard with his daughters, as little girls.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Leslie; daughters and sons in laws, Donna (Forrest) Stolz, Denise (Larry) Finch; his beloved "Furry Family" Princess, Aponi, Dakota, and a special wet nosed therapist Jazmin, who laid at his side during his illness.
He also leaves behind a special childhood friend Dave Shearer of Chestertown, MD.
The family would like to thank Mother Teresa Hospice for their wonderful care, compassion, comfort and love given to Fred.
