Surviving is his wife Evelyn; five sons David Parmeter of Ogdensburg, Jerry (Jodi) Parmeter of Ogdensburg, Timmy (Julie) Parmeter of Ogdensburg, Mark Parmeter of Rensselaer Falls and Tommy (Laura) Parmeter of Ogdensburg; two daughters Polly Parmeter of Ogdensburg and Judy (Mike) Duprey of Ogdensburg; twelve brothers Walter (Evelyn) Parmeter of Lisbon, Arthur (Elizabeth) Parmeter of Lisbon, Donald Parmeter of Lisbon, Elmer (Eleanor) Parmeter of Ogdensburg, Stewart (Blondie) Parmeter of Hammond, Raymond Parmeter of Ogdensburg, Ronald Parmeter of Lisbon, Bruce (Tonya) Parmeter of Lisbon, Richard Parmeter of Ogdensburg, John Parmeter of Ogdensburg, James (Laura) Parmeter of Madrid; five sisters Katherine Marcellus of Lisbon, Rosemary Parmeter of Brier Hill, Donna Parmeter of Brier Hill, Bonnie Brock of Ogdensburg and Beatrice (Hollis) Mason of Lisbon; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
An infant son Walter Parmeter Jr., an, infant daughter Connie Parmeter; four brothers Wilford, Lloyd, Marvin & Howard Parmeter and two sisters Barbara Measheaw & Linda Hicks predeceased him.
Walter was born on January 1, 1944 in Lisbon NY, a son of the late Howard & Edna (Middlemiss) Parmeter. He attended Madrid school for his education, and later married Evelyn Measheaw on June 23, 1964.
Walter farmed for area families throughout the years, and on Sept 3, 1970 he purchased his own farm which he worked until August 2018 when he retired. He enjoyed playing baseball, hunting, fishing, tinkering, building bird houses, and spending time with his family, especially his special granddaughter Taylor.
