It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Cecelia “Cec” Bullen on Monday, May 11, 2020 at the age of 93. Cec was born September 26, 1926 in Kelty, Fife Scotland to Cecelia and William Walker. She immigrated to Calgary, Alberta at the age of 3.
She was an avid golfer at the Elks Golf and Country Club for many years. Cec was also a devoted 5-pin bowler, representing Calgary in several Canadian Championships. She took great pride in teaching youth bowlers not only in Calgary, but in Edmonton. Cec was an enthusiastic individual, a social butterfly who enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. Christmas always brought joy & happiness to Cec. One of her favourite things to do was shop – be it at the mall, craft fairs, or trips to a small town. She enjoyed her “Winters” in Palm Springs with Harry, and her many side trips to Las Vegas.
Cec is survived by her two daughters Heather (Brian) Lockhart and Kristi Weiland; two grandchildren Andrea Kelly and Brendan Weiland; two great granddaughters Rylan and Kamryn Kelly. She is also survived by extended family in BC, USA, and Scotland. Cec was predeceased by her loving husband, Harry Bullen in 2011.
The family would like to thank all the Staff of Intercare Brentwood Care Centre for their quality care and tremendous support for mom.
Due to COVID restrictions, there will be a celebration of Mom’s life at a later date.
