Sharon Lee McFall

Sharon Lee McFall (72) of Electric City, Washington, was surrounded by family members and caregivers as she passed on to rejoin her beloved “Ted” Friday evening, June 12, 2020. Sharon was born Tuesday, May 25, 1948 in Corvallis, Oregon to Kenneth and Ruth McDowell. In 1966 she graduated High School in Norwalk, California and then went on to Cerritos College, of Norwalk. Possessing a gift for numbers, early on Sharon worked briefly as a Sales Audit Clerk for a food products firm and then for many years she volunteered as bookkeeper for St. Henry Catholic Church in Grand Coulee, Washington, where she was an active and faithful member. On Sunday, March 14, 1971, a 22-year-old Sharon Lee McDowell married the love of her life: Ted L. McFall in Las Vegas, Nevada. From that moment on for 39 years, Sharon and Ted were inseparable, whether volunteering together at St. Henry’s, helping at the local food bank, sitting in the boat while Ted fished or riding along in the golf cart for 18 holes, she was happiest when spending time with Ted. They loved to experience new adventures: traveling to new places, taking numerous cruises, going to live stage shows, being “Hi-Rollers” in Las Vegas and going to Disney World many times – where “Adventuresome Sharon” rode every scary ride in the park. All who met Sharon, quickly learned that she dearly loved animals, especially Dogs! It was not uncommon for visitors to her home to be greeted by four, five or even more rescued canines; each one wonderfully loved and pampered. A “lesser known” fact concerning Sharon, was that she was an avid “Star Wars” and “Star Trek” fan! (yes, Sharon was a “Trekkie”) She had seen every episode and movie and read every book about both of these science fiction classics.

To know Sharon was to have the honor of knowing a woman of deep faith, who never complained through a lifetime of physical hardships. Even when confined to her bed, she was a genuinely positive and gracious hostess who could amaze guests with the innovative ways she could perform tasks. A family member said, “She was the toughest lady I ever knew.”

Predeceased by her beloved husband “Ted” in 2010; Sharon is survived by her Great-Nephew (aka: Grandson): Kurtis McDowell; Brother: Ron McDowell (Patty); Brother-in-Law: Peter Pasichnyk; nephew: Ken McDowell and numerous cousins.

Due to the present Covid-19 situation, Sharon’s private family funeral mass was held at St. Henry Catholic Church, Grand Coulee, with burial next to Ted in Spring Canyon Cemetery, Grand Coulee.
