Laura was born on January 28, 1923, in Port Arthur to Louise Deranger Carrier and L. Carrier, Sr. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in 1941 and attended Lamar State College Business School. Laura was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur where she was also a member of the Altar Society. She loved to sew for her children such as every day clothes, recitals, musicals, Halloween costumes and many other things her children, family and friends would require or request. Laura was a big booster for the Bishop Byrne Colleens and also loved to cook for all her family and friends especially on Holidays and special occasions.
Survivors include two daughters, Gay Domingue of Beaumont, Joy Domingue Lovelace of Port Neches and her bonus daughter, Denise Domingue of Beaumont; granddaughter, Lori Lovelace Carter of Port Neches and great grandson, Liam Beaux Carter of Port Neches. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, L. Carrier, Jr. and her husband of fifty-four years, Stanley J. Domingue.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas under the direction of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Due to COVID-19, the family asks that everyone please wear a mask; comply with Social Distancing which means everyone stay six feet apart and comply with all Cemetery and Social Distancing Rules during this crisis we are going through at this time.
The family would like to take this time to give a Special Thanks and Appreciation to all the Staff at Summit Nursing Home in San Augustine for all the love and support you gave to our “Mother” during the past three years.
