Formerly of Chicago, Oak Lawn & Tinley Park IL, and recently of Tampa, FL. Robert (Bob) R. Pintur passed away July 25, 2020 at the age of 93. He graduated from Tilden Technical High School in 1944 and was immediately drafted into the U.S. Army. Bob was assigned to the 35th Inf. Reg, 25th Inf. Div. during WWII, serving in the Pacific Theater. A proud member of Sheetmetal Workers Union Local #73, Bob retired in 1991 after working 24 years as a "tin-knocker" for Binks Mfg in Franklin Park, IL. He was a lifelong member of the Croatian Fraternal Union of America, Lodge 32 (Chicago). In retirement Bob enjoyed his family, travel, golf, bowling, table games (esp. Rummikub), and various hobbies. Bob was a loyal friend and family man; a tinkerer, a fixer of all things mechanical, and a repeat-offending Buick owner. Preceded in death by his father Ignac Pintur, mother Ana Pintur (Kunovic); wife of 27 years & mother of his children Mary Jane Pintur (Costin); sister Lillian Barkich (Pintur); long-time ladyfriend Joan Beary; and a prized '29 Ford Model A Roadster, complete with a rumble seat and brakes that required two people to manage...he wished he never sold that car. Survived by his four sons Michael, Mark (wife Margaret), Matthew (wife Monica), and Bob (wife Amanda); grandchildren Rachael, Mark, Kayla, Michelle, Dominic, Madelyn, and Vincent; sister Dolores Jukich (Pintur); and the Bonita Springs Rummikub gang.
