Hermance was born on May 25, 1942 in St. Rose, Quebec, Canada to her parents Jeannette Soucy Raymond and Antoin Raymond. She met her future husband at a dance. They married on July 4, 1959 and have been side by side for 62 years. They moved to the United States in the early 60’s and lived in numerous places in New England finally settling in the Biddeford, ME area. Once Normand retired, they
spent the past 30 years being snowbirds in Florida and the warmer months at their final home in Lyman. They made so many wonderful friendships over the years that continue to this day.
Hermance had a love for the Lord and walked by his side through her journey of life. She also enjoyed baking, gardening, knitting, golfing, listening to gospel music along with music from her and Normand’s younger years. She always looked forward to quiet Saturday evenings with Normand watching old music programs from their courting days. However, her greatest joy and love in life was time spent with family, her 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Especially the babies!
Hermance was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her husband Normand Collin, her children Michael Collin, Susan and her husband Scott Morgan, David and his wife Charlene Collin and Tina and her husband Paul Gray. Her grandchildren Sean, Nicole, Andrew, Leanne, Scottie, Briana, Ashley, Britany, Brianna, Nicholas, Jessica and Peytyn.
