Passed away in Zolfo Springs, Florida on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the age of 92. In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her previous husband, Robert W. Estep; granddaughter, Marti Turner; her siblings, Nora Wireman, Roberta Wireman Large, Victor, James Henry and Elliott Wireman, brother-in-law, Mort Bailey, stepson, Michael Zacharias and her most special friends, Charlie and Gloria Egeler. She is survived by husband, Arthur Zacharias, children, Melissa (Steven) Turner, Robert Estep, Jodi Estep, stepson, Matt (Carol) Zacharias; grandchildren, Rebecca (Ben) Guidinger, Max Riggs and Molly Riggs and three great-grandchildren; sister, Elsie Bailey and sisters-in-law, Polly Wireman and Wilma Wireman as well as nieces, nephews loving family members and friends. Stella was born on August 14, 1928 to Elliott and Martha (Arnett) Wireman in Magoffin County, Kentucky. She graduated from LaGrange high school and continued her education at Eastern Kentucky University. She was an avid sports fan particularly loving baseball and basketball, cheering on her favorites, the Detroit Tigers and her beloved Kentucky Wildcats. March Madness would find her watching all the games she could. She enjoyed a 30 year teaching career, many of those years at East Jackson where she taught business classes and Physical Education. She also was the cheerleading adviser for several years and enjoyed cheering on the Trojans at the basketball and football games. She truly enjoyed teaching and attended several EJH class reunions. Stella was a member of the Elks, enjoyed bowling, playing cards and was careful to keep in shape by walking at the crossing every day. Stella was much beloved by her family and friends and was a strong, supportive woman for those she loved. Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky. Service arrangements are pending at this time.
