Wayne was born in Hoi Ping, China on May 1, 1950 and immigrated to Calgary in July, 1956. After graduating from Henry Wise Wood High School, he studied at the University of Calgary and obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a petroleum engineer for various oil companies throughout his career and retired from GLJ Petroleum Consultants Ltd. after 24 years with the company. He liked to golf and loved to cook and he enjoyed travelling to all parts of the world throughout the years and especially enjoyed going on cruises.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife Mee Ying (Ming); daughter Stephanie and her husband Scott Hillis; sisters Jean and Jennifer; brothers Christopher (Bonnie), Stuart (Sheila), Dewayne (Gloria) and Dean; nephews Ryan and Nicholas (Kim); and niece Amanda. He was predeceased by his parents Cheung Chow and Guey Chow.
A private service will be held.
