Bryan was born on November 1, 1963, in Port Arthur, Texas to Shirley Prestridge Jackson and Barry Jackson. He was a retired Golf Pro at various golf courses in the Mid-County area including The Palms on Pleasure Island and Belle Oaks in Port Arthur which use to be the old Port Arthur Country Club. Bryan was a 1983 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School where he played football and golf and was a member of St. Peter/Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. He loved to fish, play poker with his friends, ride his motorcycle, enjoyed playing with his dogs and even had fish to keep him company. Bryan loved dipping his Skoal while playing golf which was his passion. Bryan loved his family and being around his many friends who loved him dearly.
Survivors include his siblings, Gail Melancon and husband Richard of Groves, Wayne Jackson of Beaumont, Janelle Hunter and husband Jimmy of Batson, Texas, Angela Stansbury of Port Arthur and Melanie Roberts and her husband Daniel of Port Arthur; step mother, Mary Lou Jackson of Groves; step-brothers and sisters, Debbie Williams and her husband Dick, Michelle Williams and her husband Eldon, Kathy Ricks, Robert Simon and his wife Debra and Cindy Simon; numerous nieces and nephews. Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Prestridge Jackson and Barry Jackson; brother, Lloyd Jackson and step brother, Mark Simon.
A visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves, Texas with a “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service to be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception under the direction of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Due to COVID-19, the church and the funeral home ask that everyone wear masks and practice Social Distancing during the visitation and memorial service.
