Leonor Castro Ortiz nacio el 3 de Abril del 1931 y fallecio pacificamente el 5 de Octubre del 2020 rodeada por su familia en Ventura, CA a la edad de 89 años. Nacida en Coachella, CA y criada en Hermosillo, Sonora. En 1974 se hizo residente de Santa Paula, CA. Fue un madre amorosa que dedico su vida a sus 11 hijos. Leonor era un madre, abuela, bisabuela, y tatara abuela. Leonor era una verdadera definicion de “fuerza” que supero muchas batallas. Estaba decidida a conseguir una vida mejor para ella y sus hijos. Mejor conocida como “nana” a sus nietos, bisnietos, y tatara nietos. A ella le encantaba cocinar, bailar, escuchar musica, viajar y compartir su tiempo con su familia.
Le sobreviven sus cinco hijos Jose Victor Hernandez, Hector Hernandez, Martin Hernandez, Fabian Hernandez, Manuel Hernandez, Jose Armenta(fallecido), Ignacio Hernandez(fallecido) y sus 4 hijas Dolores Rico, Luz Cardenas, Guadalupe Chavez, and Angela Miranda. Tambien le sobreviven 29 nietos, 43 bisnietos, y 11 tataranietos.
El amor que ella nos regalo por 89 años , viviran por siempre en nuestros recuerdos, pero sobre todo en nuestros corazones.
Leonor Castro Ortiz was born April 3, 1931. Leonor passed away peacefully October 5, 2020 surrounded by her family in Ventura, CA. She was 89 years old. Born in Coachella, CA and raised in Hermosillo, Sonora. In 1974 she became a long time resident of Santa Paula. She was a devoted loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was the true definition of “strong” and overcame all the odds. She was determined to make a better life for herself and children. Mother of 11 children and known to her grandchildren as “Nana”. Leonor loved cooking, music, dancing, traveling and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by her 5 sons Jose Victor Hernandez, Hector Hernandez, Martin Hernandez, Fabian Hernandez, Manuel Hernandez, Jose Armenta(deceased), Ignacio Hernandez(deceased) and 4 daughters Dolores Rico, Luz Cardenas, Guadalupe Chavez, and Angela Miranda. Leonor is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
She will be missed dearly by her loving family, her long life friends, and all who had the privilege to meet her. Her giving, loving spirit and her “dichos” will live on through her family and friends forever.
