I remember celebrating Halloween with Nancy when we were just kids. My favorite memory was she dressed as a Gypsy two years in a row. I sure wish I had a picture or two of those fun times! Love you sis!!

It is a lonelier world without my older sister. Nancy you added so much to our family and I thank you for all the memories! Happy Halloween to you in heaven!!

I had the privilege of working with Nancy at CSA for many years. She was a truly wonderful person and will be missed. My sincere condolences to her family.

I am still in disbelief a week later as we prepare for Nancy’s funeral.  She was everything everyone else has said and my heart breaks for Melissa, Matt and Mitch. Nancy was someone you knew you could call on for help if needed.  She was always so welcoming and over the last few years since we moved to Cary I have memories of many fun evenings with her on our Bunco nights!  And you could always count on great home cooked goodies at her house!!  We miss you Nancy. As someone else commented God has truly gained an angel. I just wish He hadn’t needed her so soon. Love And prayers to all her family. 

Nancy ia a close work friend. She was always available for questions or just talking. I will truly miss her and her upbeat nature.

The Watson Family of Brenda, Tom, Gail and Fay wanted to express our sympathy and sorrow of Nancy's passing.  Our family shares with your's the shock of this happening.  Gail and Fay have talked about the visits with Nancy in Monterey and Arizona, and Bill and Nancy taking them to the toy store, and telling them that they can have any toy in the store.  And then going back to the house just in time to jump in the pool with Nancy, Pam, and Tracy, to avoid the terrible heat.  Even though our two families have been apart,  we will always remember the kindness and joyfullness that Nancy gave to us.  

My heart broke when I read of Nancy’s passing. What everyone has written is true of Nancy and so much more. Nancy made you feel like you were the most important person in her life, when actually, we were lucky to have her a part of ours. I certainly felt that way. 
Since her move to North Carolina, I looked forward to her annual Christmas letter. She would share what she and her children had done during the year. You felt as if you participated along with them.
Prayers and hugs to Melissa, Matt and Mitchell. Your mother was a wonderful woman, who loved you with all of her heart. She couldn’t be more proud of each of yours accomplishments. Keep all  of your happy memories of her close to your heart.

So many great times with Nancy and the kids. We drove all over North Carolina and even Tennessee with the baseball tournaments.  Lots of fun. We will miss you.


I've had the honor of working with Nancy for over 7 years.  She was the hardest working person I know, willing to help and take on anything to assist her co - workers.  She was kind, thoughtful, and she and I shared many stories and high level confidences, and was one of the few people I felt I could trust with anything.  I loved her, respected her, and am missing her as we speak.  This is the first time in 7 years I did not want to go to work, because I knew she wouldn't be there.  Huge shoes to fill, huge hole in my heart.


We are sorry to hear about Nancy. It is unbelievable. We were her backdoor neighbors in Cary for more than a decade. Our kids grew up  together. Nancy will be remembered by so many people, including us, and continues on through her terrific children. Let us know if you need anything. The Gurganus family sends love and prayers to your family. My heart hurt when I read of Nancy’s passing. We went to grade school together, and Maria Regina High school, reunited through facebook. She was always a sweetheart and someone with family values and love. Sending condolences and prayers to Nancy’s much loved children.

Nancy was a dear friend.  We grew together in a neighborhood Bible Study and many walks.  Our boys played together.  Moves and miles placed us apart.  The world lost, and heaven then gained, a true angel.  My heart goes out to you Melissa, Matt & Mitch~

Such sad news to hear of Nancy’s passing. While it’s been quite a while since our paths crossed,  Nancy’s smile, wit and work ethic will forever be etched in my HP family memories.

Nancy managed to touch my heart in just a short year and a half.  She took such great pride in all that she did. She spoke volumes of her children. She loved those she knew and cherished all things and moments in her life. She and I both spoke of how we enjoy the simple things in life such as a sunset , rainbow or shooting star. 
I was on a beach Friday night after hearing the news. I said a little prayer for Nancy. Just as I finished- a shooting star emerged from a tuft of clouds , shot straight across the sky and faded. It felt like a sign from her. 

I am so saddened to hear this.  I have only fond memories of Nancy.  She was such a selfless volunteer while we were on the board of the Athens Drive PTSA many years ago.  Her enthusiasm and her inspirational words have given me strength over the years.  My condolences to her family.

Nancy was the kindest most loving person one would ever meet or have the good fortune of knowing.  I have so many fond memories from fun times with our Bunco group that spanned years, chats and talks and to being the recipient of her kind words and notes.

Nancy will be missed dearly.

I worked with Nancy for 14 years at CSA.  She was all her obituary said and more.  For never having met her face to face, I considered her a close friend. She was also a person who listened when you talked with her about whatever was troubling you be it work related or personal. She talked me down so many times when I was having a rotten day, encouraged me when necessary, shared so many laughs and stories of my and her beloved families. 
My sympathies go out to her children and other family members and friends.  I know she is at rest with God in heaven watching over us all. 

I will continue to lift you up in my prayers in the following days and pray God’s perfect peace sustain you all during these difficult times. 



Nancy was such a thoughtful and caring friend. I always greatly enjoyed, appreciated, and looked forward to our deep talks, nature walks, and cups of coffee (and joy) together. I treasure and have kept every card Nancy has written me through the years as each was always so full of encouragement and inspiration -- the kind you go back and read years later because it still blesses the heart as much now as when first received. I will miss Nancy greatly and am incredibly thankful that I will see her again one day in eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who we both love.

My work confidant my friend, I will truly miss you. My heart breaks for Melissa, Matt, and Mitch. May peace and love engulf you at this time. Hold tight to all the wonderful memories the four of you made. You three were her greatest accomplishment.

I worked   with Nancy at Enesco, she trained me and was my boss for few years before she left. She was such a kind and funny person. We laughed a lot in our department. I will always remember her. May you find peace in the memories you have made with her   Prayers for her children and family.
