Pauline F Underwood

Family was Pauline's claim to fame. She loved all of her family with everything she had. She was the biggest supporter, cheerleader and advocate for her family. To Fred, she was the wife that he needed. Though there were tough times, the love between Fred and Pauline never faded. To Jatana and Scott, she was the epitomy of an awesome mom. She always had their backs (even when they were wrong) and continuously gave Godly advice when they had questions or problems. To Nikki, Travis, Luke, Brett, Stacey and Blake, she was an example of how a Christian should think and attempt to act. The grandkids would drive her crazy on occasion (you are laughing too loud, etc.) but she loved them more than any words could express. To Hunter, Addy, and new Baby B on the way, there are no words to describe what they meant to Pauline. They were her sunshine and she let you know it. There was nothing that a walk with the great-grandbabies couldn't cure. Pauline was usually caught singing "You Are My Sunshine" or humming "Jesus Loves Me". She felt that there was nothing more precious on this Earth than her family and her Faith. Her family rests on the promise that she is singing and shouting glory with Jesus waiting on the rest of us.

Pauline is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fred E. Underwood. Her children are Jatana Dibler (Dennis) and Scott Underwood (Tracey). Her grandchildren are Nikki Baucom (Josh), Travis Ball (Ann Marie), Luke Ball (Megan - fiance), Brett Underwood, Stacey Underwood (Michael - fiance), and Blake Underwood. Her sunshine great-grandbabies are Hunter and Addy Baucom and coming soon Baby Girl Ball. Pauline is also survived by her 3 sisters, Pearl, Sula, and Judy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, October 16, 2020 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Pauline Underwood will be 2:00pm Saturday, October 17, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to serve the Underwood family.
