DeJuan DeCarlos Horne, II (Juan Juan) was born in Jacksonville (Duval County), FL to DeJuan DeCarlos, I and Rahsaan S. Horne on August 13, 1999. On the afternoon of October 11, 2020, God’s assignment for his angel had come to an end.
DeJuan attended Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, AL where he was a member of the men’s basketball program. DeJuan was best known for his determination and his kind heart. DeJuan touched many hearts and lives and will be greatly missed.
His memory will forever be cherished by his devoted parents, his sisters, Jailyn Simone and Khamaia Kelise, and his younger brother, Jet Dallas Horne. He also leaves behind precious memories for his grandparents, Andrea Cheatham and Lloyd Brown, and Earl and Lyn Denise Horne Jr., Gregory and Wanda Wright; great-grandparents, Willie C. (Arena – Deceased) Taylor, Earl (Earnestine – Deceased) Horne Sr., and Verna (Frank E. – Deceased) Cheatham; great-great-grandparents, Lee Curtis Johnson, Bertha Brown; uncles, Jason (Johnyika) Terry, Omaree Johnson, Jamil Johnson, Miguel Cheatham, Earl Horne III, Terence Horne I, Cornelius (India) Horne, and Daniel Demetris Horne and aunts, Shamaya (Chris) Clark, Zshakira Johnson, Randi and Lyric Cheatham-Johnson, Gladys, Krystal, and Kiara Wright. DeJuan’s memory will also be treasured by his cousins, Jasionna, Jalayah, Jaida, Jasa, and Jrue Terry, Aniyah Grant, Jusiah Gardner, Omaree and Ameer Johnson, Miliana, Miriah, and Bailey Cheatham, Earlisha, Earl IV, Ashante, Aleah, Elijah Horne, Terence II, Asia and Amber, Jaiden, and Kai Horne, Damani, Jeleni, and Ayana Lang, Dakari Clark, Si’yona Malone, and Gia Wright. He will be remembered by a host of family, friends, and teammates.
Visitation for the family will be from 11 AM to 12:45 PM on Monday, October 19 in the Chapel of Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Hwy., Snellville, GA. Graveside Service will follow at 1PM in Eternal Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Earl Horne officiating. Due to Covid-19, attendees must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
