Alivia Marie Coleman-Jillani was born on July 2, 1971 to Jackie Coleman and the late Elvie Girdy-Coleman in Victoria, Texas. Though she was only 49, she aged well like her favorite glass of wine. She attended Mac Arthur Elementary, James D. Ryan Junior High School and graduated from Jack Yates Senior High School in 1989. Alivia went on to attend Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree. To her dismay, she became disabled due to an inevitable accident. Although this life changing experience occurred, it did not hinder the Queen’s day to day common place.
Alivia began her Public Relations career in Sales at Renaissance Learning. She worked many years for different educational software companies. Alivia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She fellowshipped at Cornerstone Community of Faith Church, but remained a faithful member at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. In her spare time, she absolutely loved to travel with her friends and family to new places all over the world. Alivia, the Diva herself made sure when she entered a room the Queen had arrived. Her flowing hair, captivating make-up, and glamorous attire made her the alluring woman to those who came across her path. She colored beautiful pictures in a “Motivate Your Life” coloring book filled with calligraphy words that brought peace and understanding to her life. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her beautiful niece Zyrie, rather if it were polishing their nails or playing in make-up while singing songs.
Alivia was preceded in death by her mother Elvie Girdy-Coleman, her grandparents Olen and Iva Girdy of Victoria, Texas and David and Augustine Williams of Austin, Texas. She leaves to cherish her memory, her father Jackie Coleman, sister Carrietta Coleman-Ve’An (Adrian), her beautiful niece Zyrie Ve’An, and a host of family and friends.
