Audrey Mae (Jacques) Cappelle

Audrey was a kind loving mother and friend who had many talents. After spending most of her life raising nine children, she finally found time to enjoy some things for herself. Audrey loved reading while lying in her hammock, the cold or rainy weather and knitting. She knitted numerous hats for cancer patients along with newborn outfits and blankets for her grandkids and great grandkids. Audrey spent numerous years contributing to genealogy research and helping to complete the “Cappelle Family History” book. She loved history and was always someone you wanted on your team when playing Trivia. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, volunteering at the hospital, huge fan of the Green Bay Packer’s, shopping and traveling. Christmas was Audrey’s favorite time of year as she enjoyed seeing the lights, listening to Christmas music and gathering with her kids and extended families.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married December 29, 1951, Aloysious Julius Cappelle, her brothers Orville Jr. Jacques, Donald Jacques, and Ken Jacques and her sisters, Madonna (Donna) Jacques Schuelke, Beverly Jacques and Kathleen Jacques.

Audrey is survived by her sister, Doris Jacques Hedstrom of Green Bay, WI, six daughters, and three sons: Connie Saxton (daughter) and husband, Samuel II, Calvin Cappelle (son) and wife, Aleace, Cathie Ward (daughter) and husband, Bill, Carla Hinson (daughter) and husband, Rick, Christine Whitelaw (daughter) and husband, Grady, Craig Cappelle (son) and wife, Kathleen, Carrie Jo Schultz (daughter) and husband, Karl (Bo), Patrick Cappelle (son) and Jennifer Arfele (daughter) and husband, Rob. Audrey’s Grandchildren: Samuel Saxton III and wife, Courtney, Talisha Saxton Hill and husband, Justin, Chad Saxton and wife, Haley, Shane Cappelle, Colton Green, Jon Cook and wife, Kristina, Daniel Hinson and wife, Ashley, Eric Hinson and wife, Krista, Ryon Hinson and wife, Nicole, Conlon Whitelaw, Dean Whitelaw, Hayden Whitelaw, Mackenzie Whitelaw, Chelsea Cappelle Johnson and husband, Grant, Andrew Cappelle and wife, Lexy, Thomas Cappelle, Weston Schultz, Audrey Grace (Gracie) Cappelle, Morgan Arfele and Bailee Arfele Francis and husband, Dylan. Audrey was also blessed with 15 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 11, 2020, at 1:00pm, in Garden Park Cemetery.
