Life Reflections
Samantha Arng Blossom (Hayward), known to most as “Sam” - was born on June 21, 1968 in Thailand to Melvin Wilson Hayward and Klong Karn Toy Hayward. She spent her Childhood in England, before her family settled into the states, laying roots in Texas.
Samantha was joined in Holy Matrimony to her husband Raymond A Blossom Jr. December 22, 1988 and were married 32 years. “Sam” supported her husband’s career serving his country, and soon after their union welcomed two beautiful children: A son - Raymond Blossom III (“Boogie”) in 1989 and a daughter - Rae'Shanda Blossom (“Moma”) in 1991.
Samantha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly. In addition to spending time with her family she enjoyed cooking and was known best for her famous spaghetti and fried rice. She also enjoyed shopping, sports (her Cowboys and Spurs) singing, crossword puzzles, playing cards, dominos, and entertaining family and friends. Samantha pursued her career in retail for many years and also worked in the food service industry.
She is best described as sweet, fun loving, and feisty by those who knew her best. On December 29, 2020, Samantha transitioned from her earthly home in Chula Vista, CA. at 12:27 pm to her heavenly home.
Samantha leaves to cherish in her memory: her loving husband Raymond A Blossom Jr.; two children, Raymond A Blossom III (and Wife Erika) Rae'Shanda Blossom; four grandchildren; Leilani Blossom (“LaLa”) Aria Blossom (“Ari”) Brayden Blossom (“Ghost”) and Raelynn Blossom (“Little Moma”); two sisters; Aanee Frost, who has also transitioned, and Katrina Sellers (Husband Jamie)
Honorary parents; Eli and Marian Negron; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, all of whom join with the family in sharing the grief caused by her departure, but rejoice in her home-going.
