Gloria Peak, was a retired worker with Metro Daycare & a faithful member of the Toronto East SDA Church. Gloria sadly, passed away on Saturday Jan. 2, 2021 in Scarborough, Ontario, at (Centenary Hospital at 11:30 am). Gloria was (75) years old, and she is survived by her sisters (Cynthia Renn, Daisy Williams, Enid Thompson) & her (3) children (Donovan Streete, Rayon Dell & Ann Marie Dinnall). Gloria was born in St. James Jamaica to Clifford Thompson & Zanni Drummond and she migrated to Canada in 1974. When her (3) children later met her in Toronto, they all attended the East SDA church together. Gloria was a devoted mother and grandmother, & she loved her family and friends dearly.
Gloria loved learning and she was not afraid of trying new things, as she was always open to travelling to new places. Gloria enjoyed working with the elderly, and she was a long-standing auxiliary volunteer at the Scarborough General Hospital for many years. Gloria was always a strong independent woman, and for (71) years, she lived her ‘best life’. Gloria loved travelling the world with companions and friends, and even when she had no company, she enjoyed each and every one of her expeditions. Each trip was a new ‘adventure’ & she loved meeting new people.
Although the last (4) years of her life, were challenging as she grew old, Gloria is looking forward to being resurrected when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, returns to take us all home. Gloria loved her ‘family’ and she will be missed by her (8) grand-children & (3) great grand-children who will miss her dearly.
A private funeral service is set for Monday January 25, 2021. Viewing will take place at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, and will be by invitation only. Pastor Errol Lawrence will officiate the funeral service, and flowers, donations & condolences may be offered via email at ([email protected]).
