Jewel F. Ferrell Arnold, loving mother and grandmother, began her final journey on January 7, 2021 in Jacksonville, Fl. She was born September 18, 1928 in Union County, NC, and was a descendent of the Belk family known for their Department Stores. Her family moved to Jacksonville where she then graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, worked as a teller at Atlantic Bank and then as a longtime Bookkeeper at Great Atlantic Boiler Services. During her youth she also worked as a bathing suit model for a Jacksonville department store. She was a longtime member of the Sweethearts of the Morocco Shrine and Fraternal Order of Police and supported many charities through her contributions. She was a devoted fan of the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars. She loved life to the fullest, loved a good laugh, telling a good story and spending time with family and friends. She was an angel to many, classy, sassy, a little bit smart assy and always there when you needed her. She was a best friend to all she knew and she will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her Husband's Robert Ferrell and Charles Arnold and Daughter Tracy Ferrell, Parents Leonard and Flonnie Griffin, Brothers Bill Griffin and Donald Griffin, Sisters Ruby Collins and Alma Cloud.
She is survived by her 2 Sons Martin Ferrell (Vicky) and Richard Ferrell (Valarie), 2 Granddaughters Megan Stegall and Sierra Ferrell, and 2 Great-Grandchildren Daxtyn and Leighton Stegall.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, January 15 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Visitation will be 11:00am with Services following at 12:00pm.
